Copperbelt University

Copperbelt University, established in 1987, is Zambia’s second-largest public university. It was founded under Act No. 19 of Parliament and its mandate was reaffirmed through the Higher Education Act No. 4 of 2013. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fields such as business, the built environment, engineering, natural sciences, medicine, mining, natural resources management, and peace and conflict studies. As a comprehensive university with a strong focus on applied research, Copperbelt University is committed to promoting sustainable development and the well-being of Zambian society through flexible, innovative, and inclusive teaching, research, and service programs. The university emphasizes interdisciplinary integration, creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Through its faculties, it applies knowledge to address local, national, and global challenges, and actively engages in training and consultancy, capacity building, research collaboration, and entrepreneurial services.
